Our Kauri branch seeks an energetic and keen person to join their hardworking mill team.
In this role, you will be helping the the sawmill or the roundwood department.
Your main duties will be sorting roundwood poles and posts or timber. High volumes of timber and roundwood are handled daily.
The work requires a lot of hand and arm work. This job is rated heavy. Maintenance is also a part of the role, which involves cleaning machinery and housekeeping.
Forklift experience desirable although forklift licence not compulsory. Training will be given as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude, an awareness of Health and Safety, good timekeeping and communication skills. Be fit, have no previous injuries, able to get to work daily and pass pre-employment checks, including a full medical and drug test.
Heat Plant Operator
Heat Plant Operator
Our Kauri branch is seeking an energetic and keen person to join their hardworking Drymill team as a Heat Plant Operator. You would be working a rotating 4 on – 4 off shift pattern that consists of 12-hour shifts (2 days, 2 nights). Minimum 72-hour fortnight.
Key responsibilities are boiler and plant operation, operating a forklift within the yard, unloading and loading processing cylinders, and safe chemical handling. You will follow production plans, assist with preventative maintenance, cleaning, and all other applicable tasks.

Yard Hand

An opportunity has become available at our Henderson Branch for a Yard Hand / Forklift Operator to join our motivated team of approx. 60 staff located over two sites. This role is a full-time position available for an immediate start.
Key responsibilities are;
- Putting together orders, both poles and timber
- Loading and unloading of customer vehicles, including trucks.
- Stock movements within the yard (clearing treatment Plant etc)
- Keeping the work environment clean, and safe.
Our ideal applicant will have forklift experience, be able to work within an established team, have excellent communication, timekeeping and safety awareness with a positive attitude. You would be working Monday – Friday, with Saturday mornings as required.

Sawmill Supervisor
Sawmill Supervisor
Our Kauri branch are seeking an experienced person to take on a critical Sawmilling Leadership role, steering our sawmilling and sawdoctoring team.
The successful applicant must be an enthusiastic, excellent communicator who will ensure that quality and safety standards are at their highest. They would also need to be able to happily fit in with and lead the existing sawmilling team, be able to self-motivate and motivate others, have great attention to detail and have experience with Sawdoctoring and Sawmilling processes.
Applicants for this position would also need to have NZ Residency or a valid NZ Work Permit, hold a New Zealand Driver’s License and be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

An opportunity has become available for a skilled Industrial Electrician to join the team at our Whangarei Branch.
In this role, you will perform senior-level skilled electrical work such as installing, adjusting, repairing, and maintaining electronic and electrical, including pumps and motors, instruments, PLC controls, communications equipment, automatic and power operated valves, treatment plant equipment, lighting and other electrical equipment as required.
This is a permanent full-time role, assisting the Project and Maintenance Manager with some of the following key responsibilities:
- Providing efficient co-ordination and Supervision of Electrical Resources on site
- Commitment to some after-hours electrical coverage as required
- Working knowledge of 3-Phase
- Experience in a manufacturing facility
- Proficient in Instrumentation, PLC fault finding, motor starters, VSDs, and the technical documentation that goes with these (drawings, specifications, scopes of work, instrument data sheets, P&IDs, equipment list, load list, instrument lists, valve lists, IO lists, SLDs, motor starter diagrams, loop drawings, IO connection drawings, block cable diagrams)
- Running projects from start to finish including financial, risk, and programme management
- Act as a technical expert for electrical tasks for projects
Key attributes:
- Highly motivated
- Knowledge of Logix 500 and 5000 is preferred
- Quick thinking with fault finding and root cause analysis focus
- Ability to self-direct but also work within a team
- Electrical registration with current practicing license
- Current driver’s license
- Previous experience with CMMS systems is preferred
- Have a solid understanding of NZ Electrical Rules & Regulations.
